Nice location and room size. Could improve the hotel policy tho.
Location, room size, amenities.
I booked for a more expensive room. Looking at the review, this particular room has no window - so I mentioned in the note that I prefer a room with window bcs I’m claustrophobic. However, upon arrival they informed me that ALL ROOMS (the type that I booked) has no window. And the offered me if I want to change room type — which of course I would bcs again no window. To my surprise they DID NOT refund the price difference (around 50RM /nigh, I stayed for 5-6 nights btw). I feel like I got scammed, bcs they knew from the beginning that the room type does not have window — so they should notify me before my arrival so I can re-book other room type. Also, during checked in I asked for a stove — the stove came after 2 nights, but the pot/pan arrived on the 4th night which was already useless.

What was the highlight of The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang
Nice hotel. Good stay for a week.
The location was great, across the street from the bus terminal and malls. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was receptive and nice. There was a mini fridge in the room and every day coffee and water was replenished. The pool area is amazing. AC was great. Shower was fantastic with good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
I felt like the staff could have offered more information for tourists at check in and that they could have offered some pamphlets, a local map or general info about how to get around without a car. I found the CAT bus on my own and discovered food courts in the mall on my own. I discovered the hotel gym on my own. It is tucked behind the pool area. The bathroom had a window into the room. You can close the blinds easily , but it defaults to open, so if you are with others you have to remember to close them when you use the toilet ! There was some renovation outside going on while I was there. There was a little noise from that during the day, but it wasn't too bad. I could have used some hooks in the bathroom for hanging up clothes. The lobby carpet could use a steam clean if you look hard.

The room is spacious. The staffs are friendly. The location for this hotel also strategic. Centre of the town. Easy access to anywhere
I like the parking system but it’s quite hard to use it and also we got a room that has air conditioning problem. A few times it happened and then we transfered to another room.

Overall it was a great experience. I‘d like to stay here in the future.
I like how there‘s a water dispenser on each floor that provides hot water and cold water. It was so convenient for us as a family with small kids. The bathroom was awesome and the room was very spacious. We had no trouble finding a parking lot, since it was provided by the hotel and the automated car parking system was the state of the art!
The selection of breakfast menu was rather limited.
